How to Get Rid of Mice

In the last post, I told you how to prevent mice from gaining entry into your home.  In today’s post, I’ll be sharing some tips on how to get rid of mice.
Mice are the most adaptive to humans of all rodents.  They contaminate millions of dollars worth of food each year, and have done their fair share of destruction causing electrical fires with their habitual gnawing.
As if that weren’t enough, mice carry diseases a multitude of diseases including Salmonella.  They can transfer diseases to humans in the following ways:
  • By biting man.
  • By infecting human food with its droppings.
  • By infecting human food with its urine.
  • By being eaten.
  • Indirectly via the cat or the dog.
  • Indirectly via the bloodsucking insects.
  • Indirectly via bloodsucking mites.
  • Indirectly by dying in a water supply
If you didn’t know before, now you know why it’s so important to get rid of mice fast and by any means necessary.
After taking all preventative measures to stop any additional mice from gaining entry, you have several options for eliminating mice in your home.
Snap Traps are the most traditional method for catching mice.  They are cheap and easy to setup.  One of their biggest drawbacks are that they can be messy, so they are not for the faint at heart.
Glue Boards are my personal favorite.
