Natural Pest Control for Your Garden

You don’t need to have special chemicals and expensive repellants to keep pests out of your garden.  There are many natural and organic methods you can try to prevent birds, aphids, and other pests from destroying your garden.
Birds are afraid of snakes and owls.  Place fake snakes and owls in your garden. They can be purchased at most garden stores. Make sure they look realistic. Birds can get wise to rubber snakes and owls so be sure to move them around every two or three days around the garden.
Aphids are an enemy that is easy to deal with. Aphids hide on the underside of leaves.  They are not strong holders so when it rains heavily they wash away.  Spray your plants with a hose from side to side. It will knock off most aphids and they will drown in the water at the base of your plants.  This must be done on a regular basis. You can also spray soapy water on your plants but this may kill your beneficial insects as well.  The soapy water almost instantly kills the aphids and will not hurt your plants.
Another method of controlling pasts organically is companion planting.  Plants, such as marigolds, onions, rosemary, parsley, and garlic repel insects and can be planted amongst your other garden plants. In the wild, plants are spaced out and mixed, so insects and predators have a hard time locating them. Gardens become infested easily because all of the same type of plant is laid out in a row making them very easy to find. Mix your plants up and spread them throughout your garden to keep insect pests to a minimum.
If you don’t have the time and patience to follow these methods, there is a quick way to eliminate pests organically. Parsons Pest Control of Dallas offers a variety of organic products repelling pests from your garden.  Visit their online Do-it-Yourself-Pest-Controlstore for natural products made by CedarCide.
